Nearly forty years ago, I realized that I needed to depend completely on Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross and His resurrection. I celebrate by continuing to depend on Him by faith each day. In total dependence on Him I have found true freedom. King Jesus is One that I will never desire independence from! I love to celebrate Dependence Day.

As they say, "Freedom isn't free", and neither is our spiritual freedom from sin and eternal damnation because of the death of one man, Jesus. I praise God for those men who signed the Declaration. Most of them had difficult lives, lost their families and fortunes - and their lives. How many of us would be willing to do that today?
