Been Thinking Friends,
I have just placed my wife, Di, into hospice after a long process of home care, recent hospital stays, and crises that have been so hard on her.
Now that she is being cared for around the clock by hospice workers, as you might expect, my family and I are struggling with conflicting emotions of relief that Di is now in the care of those who are able to manage her pain— and the crush of loss that many of you know all too well.
I regret my long absences from the blog but am thankful that you do well on your own :-). I have hopes of being able to get into a better rhythm of sharing thoughts with you even though, for now, I remain caught up in the emotions and thoughts of this slow-moving, soul-tearing, moment…
